34773 (2025). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: Was Dwell Housing Trust denied government funding last year to build 26 housing units in Newtown, Wellington and if so, why?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that a proposal for a 26 social housing place development in Newtown submitted by the Dwell Housing Trust last year was not selected for progression at that time as it did not rank sufficiently highly against the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development’s investment criteria.
