34500 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Revenue: What consultations are the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, planning to open on the week beginning Monday 14 July 2025 with employees around any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions, and when is any such consultation expected to close?

Hon Simon Watts: Officials advise that on Thursday 17 July 2025 a change proposal will be released proposing to cease Inland Revenue’s use of the Customer Support Administration role. It is proposed all 52 positions will be disestablished. Consultation will close on Thursday 31 July 2025. It is possible some of the incumbents may be redeployed to other roles at Inland Revenue if they elect to pursue this option and meet the required selection criteria.
