34493 (2025). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister of Education: Does the Minister consider one 25-seat public bus a viable replacement for six school buses currently used by over 240 Ashhurst students and if so why and if not why not?

Hon Erica Stanford: Questions about public transport capacity should be directed to the local Public Transport Authority. While the Ministry of Education can only provide services to students who meet its eligibility criteria, Public Transport Authorities, such as regional councils, have greater flexibility to provide services that meet the transport needs of their communities.
