34408 (2025). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: How many, if any, workplace fatalities were reported to WorkSafe during the week of July 7th 2025?

Hon Brooke van Velden: When a fatality is notified to WorkSafe New Zealand, it is assessed to determine if it is a result of work activity. I am advised that WorkSafe received one fatal harm notification from 7 July 2025 to 13 July 2025, which is still under assessment.
