34405 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: What agreements or partnerships, if any, have been entered into with iwi, hapū and mana whenua in relation to the Warkworth to Te Hana expressway, and what commercial participation, if any, do they involve?

Hon Chris Bishop: NZTA has had a long-standing partnership with Hōkai Nuku since 2010 on the project. Hōkai Nuku is the authorised representative body, representing four Iwi and hapū mana whenua - Ngāti Manuhiri, Ngāti Rango of Kaipara, Ngāti Whātua, and Te Uri o Hau. Any agreements and commercial participation will be between Northway and Hoka Nuku.
