34404 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Why does main construction on Warkworth to Te Hana not begin until November 2027 when early works commence from August 2026, and what activity will occur in the intervening period?

Hon Chris Bishop: Construction planning, mobilisation, detailed design, and early works are due to commence from August 2026, with main construction starting in November 2027. The period between August 2026 and November 2027 will be used to undertake those activities and prepare the project for the commencement of main construction.
