34368 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: What arrangements, if any, have been put in place to manage any conflicts of interest arising from new NZTA board member Steve Haszard's directorships and his association with the law firm Meredith Connell?

Hon Chris Bishop: Mr Haszard has stepped down from his directorship with Stellar Projects. Standard conflicts of interest practices are in place for his role with Meredith Connell and Talley's Group. These practices include, where appropriate, recusal from discussions and/or decisions, as well as not receiving information on a matter.
