Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What is the expected total headcount of graduate enrolled nurse roles, as distinct from graduate registered nurse roles, within the approximately 1,800 roles planned to be offered by Health NZ in the next 12 months, as referred to in his announcement of 23 July 2026?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that Health New Zealand expect to recruit up to 73 graduate enrolled nurses in in the 2026/27 financial year.
