34252 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Statistics: What automated approvals, if any, are currently operating within the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any?

Hon Scott Simpson: I am advised that Stats NZ does not have any artificial intelligence systems currently operating that make automated approval decisions without human oversight.
