Hon Louise Upston: As Minister for Tourism and Hospitality, I have no responsibility for any government departments or ministries. With regard to Crown entities under the Tourism and Hospitality portfolio, I am advised that Tourism New Zealand does not use AI profiling or facial recognition in its business operations. However, facial recognition is available for Tourism New Zealand employees to log into their laptops.
