34218 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Defence: What public engagement surveys, if any, have been completed regarding the use of artificial intelligence in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, since 27 November 2023?

Hon Chris Penk: The Ministry of Defence consulted the public twice on its Long-term Insights Briefing “How technology innovations are likely to influence New Zealand’s defence capabilities beyond 2035”. The New Zealand Defence Force has not undertaken any surveys.
