34205 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Transport: What algorithm impact assessments, if any, have been done in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, since 27 November 2023?

Hon Chris Bishop: NZTA does not undertake standalone Algorithm Impact Assessments. The potential impacts of algorithms are considered as part of the risk assessment and approval process that applies to every Artificial Intelligence (AI) use case before it can be piloted or put into use.
