34145 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Disability Issues: What procurement process, if any, was used for purchasing artificial intelligence tools, if any, currently being used within the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any?

Hon Louise Upston: For Disability Support Services: I refer the Member to reply number 34118 (2026). For the Ministry of Disabled People - Whaikaha I am advised that the Ministry uses Microsoft Copilot, which is used under existing Microsoft licensing arrangements. The Ministry has not undertaken a separate procurement process for any artificial intelligence tools.
