34095 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Associate Minister of Justice: What automated approvals, if any, are currently operating within the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any?

Hon Nicole McKee: I am advised that the Real Estate Authority (REA) utilises automated approvals for real estate licence renewals and voluntary suspensions where the information provided by the licensee and data checks meet the requirements of the Real Estate Agents Act 2008. Approvals may be cancelled if the information that was provided is found to be false or misleading. REA does not use automated approvals for new real estate licence applications; every new licence is manually approved.
