34090 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Justice: What automated approvals, if any, are currently operating within the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised that the Ministry of Justice does not currently operate any automated approval processes. I am advised that the Electoral Commission utilises codified business rules within systems to support automation. However, it does not use automated approvals for any high-risk decisions.
