34084 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Housing: What algorithm impact assessments, if any, have been done in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, since 27 November 2023?

Hon Chris Bishop: The Ministry for Cities, Environment, Regions and Transport advises me that between 27 November 2023 and 1 July 2026, no algorithm impact assessments have been completed by the former Ministry of Housing and Urban Development. For information regarding Ministry for Cities, Environment, Regions and Transport following 1 July 2026, I refer the Member to the Minster Responsible for RMA Reform’s reply to written question 34011 (2026). Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that it has done risk assessments relating to the use of AI, however it is not aware of any specific algorithm assessments.
