34072 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: What consultations are the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, opening on the week beginning Monday 5 July 2025 with employees around any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions, and when is any such consultation expected to close?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: There was no consultation on this matter at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Asia New Zealand Foundation. For Antarctica New Zealand no consultations were opened during the week beginning Monday 5 July. However, a consultation document for restructuring was shared on 12 June, with a consultation period from 12 June to 3 July. The decision document identified a net change of 4 roles. Discussions with impacted staff are still ongoing.
