34027 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Conservation: What automated approvals, if any, are currently operating within the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any?

Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised that the Department of Conservation currently has automated approvals in place for certain low-risk drone permit applications. I am further advised that DOC also has automated approvals and issuance of permits in place for certain Hunting Permit applications. These include Open Hunting Permits and Restricted Hunting Permits for Rakiura, Queenstown, Molesworth, and Blue Mountains.
