33982 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Regulation: How, if at all, is AI profiling and/or facial recognition used in the Minister's departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any?

Hon David Seymour: Officials advise that the Ministry for Regulation uses AI facial recognition as multi-factor authentication for secure log-in identity management and access to the Ministry’s computer systems. The Ministry does not use AI profiling.
