33973 (2026). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: What response, if any, has the Government made about the latest report of the United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and Israel concerning Palestinian children and if not why not?
Rt Hon Winston Peters: New Zealand has consistently outlined our grave concerns about Israel's actions in Gaza and the West Bank, including our expectations that internatioanl law is upheld, this report offers further evidence of the appalling cost of the conflict on civilians, particularly children. We will continue to put these concerns to Israel directly. The Ministry will raise this specific report with Israeli officials.
