33973 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Education: What items of secondary legislation, if any, listed by title, are administered by the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any?

Hon Erica Stanford: As the Minister of Education, I am responsible for the primary legislation listed in the attached table. The New Zealand Legislation website provides a list of secondary legislation made under a specific piece of primary legislation, including information on the agency that is responsible for administering both the primary and/or secondary legislation. It is important to note the list of secondary legislation on the New Zealand Legislation Website is not an exhaustive list of all secondary legislation issued under the relevant primary legislation. It also does not include secondary legislation that is still in effect under previous versions of the primary legislation. It is not in the public interest to use the time and resources required to collate this list and run appropriate quality assurance processes as it would require diverting people from core duties. This is also my response to written parliamentary question 33974 (2025).
