Hon Jo Luxton to the Minister for the Prevention of Family and Sexual Violence: Has the Minister received any advice since November 2023 that women and children experiencing family violence in Tairāwhiti have been unable to, or are experiencing barriers to access refuge accommodation when required?

Hon Karen Chhour: In May 2025, I received an aide-mémoire titled, ‘Intersection of family violence and housing instability’ which included reference to a 2024 case study by Manaaki Tairāwhiti.
