Hon Dr Megan Woods to the Minister for Energy: When incentivising significant rooftop solar uptake across residential, commercial and industrial users was considered, but ruled out as an investment option to provide dry year cover, did this include a scenario of solar alongside battery storage, and if not, why not?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that battery storage was considered as a separate standalone option. Dry year issues largely materialise in late autumn and winter months. Solar output is weakest during that time.
