Hon Priyanca Radhakrishnan to the Minister of Conservation: What information did the Department of Conservation request from OceanaGold about its plans to manage the relocation of lizards at the Macraes gold mine that officials had not received before declining the company’s permit application last month?

Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised the original Lizard Relocation Plan lacked detail on the methods to be used to relocate lizards to an extent that the Department could not assess the protection for the wildlife.
