33875 (2026). Hon Dr Megan Woods to the Minister for Energy: How much, if at all, could the Datagrid data centre affect power prices for other energy consumers once operational?

Hon Simeon Brown: My officials have not provided me with an estimate of the impact of individual data centre projects on electricity prices. Officials have advised me that projected data centre demand growth is not expected to put significant upward pressure on electricity prices over the next three years.
