Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Education: What contracts, if any, does Martin Jenkins have with the Ministry of Education and on what date(s), if at all, did they declare any conflicts of interest with current or past employees or consultants that now work in the education sector?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that there are currently two contracts with Martin Jenkins. In relation to the Initial Teacher Education standards contract, a conflict of interest was declared by a sub-contractor for Martin Jenkins on 20 May 2026, and a management plan was put in place to protect the integrity of the work. No conflicts of interest were declared for the other contract.
