33845 (2026). Ricardo Menéndez March to the Minister of Immigration: How much did the Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment (MBIE) pay, or expect to pay, in stranded costs arising from the termination of the Biometric Capability Upgrade (BCU) project?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment that there are approximately $100,000 of stranded costs following the termination of the Biometric Capability Upgrade project. This will be tested as part of the reviews considering the financial aspects of the project.
