Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora informs me that the estimated cost to Kāinga Ora of purchasing a shell under the WelTec Trade Academy partnership was approximately $220,000 per unit with further spend required to complete the unit to Kāinga Ora standards. As this exceeded the cost of comparable completed units available through other Trade Academy partnerships, the partnership was discontinued.
