33809 (2026). Ingrid Leary to the Minister for Mental Health: Did Health New Zealand reconsider or change advice in communications, or descriptions of concerns, to the Minister about Wakari Hospital Ward 10A after 1 April 2026, and if so, on what dates were those communications received by the Minister or his office?

Hon Matt Doocey: As Minister, I would expect officials to keep me and my office appropriately updated as concerns and decisions relating to Wakari Hospital Ward 10A evolved. Since 16 April 2026 I have received regular updates through the Health New Zealand Mental Health Weekly Report, and have met with officials on multiple occasions.
