33744 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: What advice if any, listed by date and title, did the Minister receive around the decision to recruit beneficiaries to Enhanced Task Force Green?

Hon Louise Upston: Significant rainfall occurred across the Tasman and Marlborough regions with a State of Emergency being declared on Friday 27 June 2025. A report requesting approval to activate an Enhanced Task Force Green programme was sent to me on Wednesday 2 July 2025. The report was titled ‘Enhanced Taskforce Green to assist clean-up following flooding in the Tasman and Marlborough regions. Please note that Enhanced Task Force Green is a programme to support the recovery of an area following an adverse weather event once the full extent of the damage is known. It is not used as an immediate form of response assistance.
