33711 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister for Rail: What float or schedule contingency, if any, exists between the scheduled completion of port infrastructure works in early 2029 and the scheduled arrival of the first Cook Strait ferry in April 2029?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: There is a float in the works programme, but that is for me to know and you to find out. It is a general principle in contract management to keep your cards close, as revealing them gives away leverage and we will not be doing that.
