33692 (2026). Hūhana Lyndon to the Minister of Education: What advice, if any, has the Minister received on the likely impact of the proposed Assessment Division restructure on NZQA's capability to develop, maintain, and quality assure Māori-medium assessment and qualifications?

Hon Erica Stanford: I was advised on 15 July 2026 that NZQA would be commencing consultation on proposed changes to the Assessment Division’s structure. As Minister, I do not become involved in NZQA’s operational or internal organisational matters. These are the responsibility of NZQA’s Board and Chief Executive.
