Hūhana Lyndon to the Minister of Education: How many organisational restructures, if any, have affected the staff and functions currently undertaken by Ngā Poutoko Aromatawai Māori since 27 November 2023, and what changes to staffing numbers and reporting lines resulted from each restructure, if any?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that only one organisational restructure, initiated in May 2024, affected staff and functions currently undertaken by Ngā Poutoko Aromatawai Māori (NPAM). As a result of the final decisions announced on 13 June 2024, the number of full-time equivalent (FTE) positions in NPAM decreased from 34 to 25. The organisational restructure resulted in the following roles moving from NPAM to other areas of NZQA: • Qualification Development Facilitators (National Qualifications Services) (2 FTE) moved to the Moderation Cycle Manager in Assessment and Moderation. • Kaitohutohu Kaupapa Matua (1 FTE) moved to Manager Planning, Integration and Improvement. • Kaiwhakamahere Kaupapa Matua (1 FTE) moved to Manager Planning, Integration and Improvement.
