33669 (2026). Hūhana Lyndon to the Minister of Education: Did NZQA prepare a Te Tiriti impact assessment, Māori impact assessment, or equivalent analysis in relation to the proposed Assessment Division restructure; if so, when was it completed and what were its conclusions?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that NZQA considered a range of factors relevant to Māori assessment capability, the impacts on staff, and NZQA's ability to continue delivering its functions and services effectively as well as alignment with NZQA Board’s Te Tiriti o Waitangi Statement. The proposal has been developed in line with NZQA's organisational change processes and relevant obligations and responsibilities.
