33577 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: How many courses of Paxlovid are currently being held in stores by Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand and if any are held, on what date will these expire?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that, while Health New Zealand does not store Paxlovid, it does hold a National Reserve Supply of anti-virals for influenza. I note that while Paxlovid has been used to treat patients with COVID-19, as the Member will be aware, this disease is now treated as endemic.
