33566 (2025). Hon Rachel Brooking to the Minister for Infrastructure: Will he review the financial contributions set out in the Fast-track Approvals (Cost Recovery) Regulations 2025, and what criteria, if any, will guide any decision to adjust the contributions for Māori consultation groups?

Hon Chris Bishop: As noted in the Ministry for the Environment’s Cost Recovery Impact Statement (CRIS) - Cost recovery and financial contributions under the Fast-track Approvals legislation, the government intends to review the current fee, levy and financial contribution levels set in the Fast-track Approvals (Cost Recovery) Regulations 2025 in 2026, in light of the first year of implementation of the regime.
