33551 (2025). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: Further to her reply to Question 31275 (2025), what outcomes, if any, have been reported to WorkSafe as a result of the 495 reports WorkSafe received to its road cone hotline?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised that when WorkSafe New Zealand receives a report through the Road Cone Hotline, it is passed on to the appropriate Road Controlling Authority (RCA) (councils for local public roads or NZTA for state highways). WorkSafe is finalising how RCAs report back to WorkSafe on the outcomes of their assessments of the sites reported.
