33491 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Which Roads of National Significance is NZTA continuing focused property acquisition for, and which, if any, has it paused or stopped property acquisition for?

Hon Chris Bishop: NZTA continues focused property acquisition for Roads of National Significance where the objective is to achieve or maintain construction readiness, support route protection, or complete approved pre-implementation activities. This includes projects such as Belfast to Pegasus, Takitimu North Link Stage 2A, and the Alternative to the Brynderwyn Hills section of the Northland Corridor. For projects sequenced into later phases of the July 2026 Major Transport Projects Pipeline, property acquisition activity has been reduced, deferred, or limited to essential requirements.
