Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Who or what organisations have been invited to market sounding sessions scheduled to take place in July 2025, and what criteria were used to select this cross-section of market participants at sessions planned across Sydney, Wellington, and Auckland respectively?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that Ministry of Transport Officials will meet with a cross-section of market participants – from international toll road operators to domestic and international investors and iwi – to get a range of perspectives on the opportunities available. The specific organisations taking part in the market sounding process, and how they have been selected to take part, is currently commercially sensitive and subject to the market sounding process.
