33481 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: What extensions to designation lapse dates, if any, has NZTA sought, or does it intend to seek, for Roads of National Significance that have no construction start date in the July 2026 Major Transport Projects Pipeline, and for which projects?

Hon Chris Bishop: NZTA is submitting an application to extend the lapse date for the Mill Road Stage 1 designations. Most other existing designations have been given effect to or have long lapse dates. NZTA will continue to monitor if any lapse dates need to be extended to support future construction start dates.
