33460 (2025). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Police: What feedback did Police provide in relation to the development of citizen’s arrest provisions?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Police provided feedback to the Ministry of Justice on proposals that may have public safety impacts, including for children and young people; implications for Police operational demand; and unintended consequences on Police immunities for warrantless arrests. This is also my response to Written Parliamentary Question 33623 (2025).
