Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Lead Coordination Minister for the Government's Response to the Royal Commission’s Report into Historical Abuse in State Care and in the Care of Faith-based Institutions: Further to 19781 (2025), what are the names of the further eight organisations that received funding from the fund to honour those who died in care and are buried in unmarked graves, and strengthen survivor-led initiatives that support those in need?
Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that as of July 9 2025 a further 14 organisations have received funding. The organisations are: West Auckland Mental Health Support Trust, Australian and New Zealand Army Corps Mounted Trust, Male Support Services Waikato, Canterbury Men's Centre, The Whaiora Whanui Trust, Ōtepoti Dunedin Whānau Refuge, Downie Stewart Foundation, Gloriavale Leavers' Support Trust, Visible, Presbyterian Support (Upper South Island), Rise and Thrive Support Limited, State Abuse Advocated Ltd, VOYCE – Whakarongo Mai, and Rangitikei District Council.
