33404 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: Further to 21033 (2025), what percentage of Oranga Tamariki social workers receive their required supervision?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that the percentage of social workers that receive their required supervision cannot be easily extracted from Oranga Tamariki systems and would not give a fulsome view of the extent to which supervision complied with expected policy settings. I am further advised that Oranga Tamariki are conducting ongoing case file analysis regularly, to look for evidence of supervision which enables some insights about the extent of supervision within social work casework.
