33142 (2026). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: What conditions or outstanding actions remained, if any, when SMART (Student Monitoring, Assessment and Reporting Tool) began using live student data?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) that the Student Monitoring, Assessment Reporting Tool (SMART) Certification and Accreditation process was completed on 20 March 2026, before SMART was approved for live operation. As is usual with any large system going live, there were a number of follow-up actions documented; including monitoring, additional checks or upgrades required at future dates or milestones, however, live operation was not conditional upon the completion of these actions.
