Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Statistics: How many deputy chief executive or equivalent roles, if any, are in the Minister's departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, and what is the total number of employees in these departments, agencies, crown entities or any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised the total number of employees at Stats NZ (by headcount as of 7 July 2025) is 1290, with six Deputy Chief Executive roles.
