33118 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Prime Minister: How many deputy chief executive or equivalent roles, if any, are in the Minister's departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, and what is the total number of employees in these departments, agencies, crown entities or any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: In my capacity as the Prime Minister, I am the responsible minister for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) is a departmental agency hosted by DPMC. I am advised that as 4 July 2025, DPMC has five deputy chief executives or equivalent roles and NEMA has three deputy chief executives or equivalent roles. I am advised that as 30 June 2025, there are 189 DPMC employees and 170 NEMA employees.
