Rt Hon Winston Peters: I am advised that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade has 2 Deputy Chief Executives and 5 Deputy Secretaries. As at 30 June 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade employed 1,198 New Zealand staff.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade's global network of posts employ their own locally engaged staff which have not been included in this return.
Asia New Zealand Foundation has 1 Deputy Chief Executive and 25 employees.
Antarctica New Zealand does not employ a Deputy Chief Executive or equivalent. Currently there are 68 people employed by Antarctica New Zealand, including the 13 winter crew at Scott Base.
