Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Corrections: How many deputy chief executive or equivalent roles, if any, are in the Minister's departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, and what is the total number of employees in these departments, agencies, crown entities or any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that as at 30 June 2025, Corrections employed 11,375 people with eight of these roles being Deputy Chief Executives. I am also advised that the Chief Inspector, who leads the independent Office of the Inspectorate, also reports directly to the Chief Executive.
