33065 (2026). Hon Marama Davidson to the Minister for the Prevention of Family and Sexual Violence: What advice, if any, has she received on consent law; listed by title and date?

Hon Karen Chhour: On 17 February 2025, I received advice from officials (ref 119421) ahead of a scheduled meeting with the founder of the Consent Law Reform Campaign, Layba Zubair. The aide-mémoire included general information about the campaign. In October 2025, I also received a copy of the open letter from Layba Zubair to the Minister of Justice about consent law reform. I have not received any other specific advice about consent law reform.
