33062 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister for ACC: What analysis, if any, has the Minister conducted to ensure the feasibility of ACC providing support to all eligible claimants while meeting the target to reduce long-term compensation spending?

Hon Scott Simpson: I have set my expectations for ACC to put in place measures that will support the Scheme returning to a financial sustainable position. This will require a more disciplined approach to the provision of both financial and non-financial entitlements, to support people to continue to receive the support they need to rehabilitate effectively from their injuries, while also reducing instances where people are being over-serviced. I have received a range of advice about these measures, and I will continue to receive advice about managing the risks and effects of such changes, as well as monitoring the effectiveness of the changes. This includes advice from a range of stakeholders.
